Lots of rain. Now the garden is doing super and I have weeds, weeds and even more weeds to pull. Funny thing is right now I can not even step in the garden with out getting covered in mud. So it will wait. ( that is not breaking my heart, I do not like weeding the garden) LOL

I caught some really cute pictures of Ziva , her best friend ever Dutch our cat and even myself. They were in rare form and having a blast hamming it up for the camera.

This is Ziva playing with Dutch but it does look like she is going to get him doesn’t it? It was a one in a million catch. Dutch just purrs and purrs for Ziva.

She loves her new kittens. They just purr and purr and purr. What drives her crazy is when they play and run around. She wants to run with them and that drives the kittens crazy. It is so fun to watch them run after Ziva only to have Ziva turn around and than see the kitten jump up and down hissing at her. When Ziva takes off again than the kittens run after her again.

The kittens are sisters and we have named them Marie and Duchess.

We have mostly a farm mix of chickens. We have two chicken coops one is for the regular brown laying chickens . There are a few green egg layers in there too. :)

We have an additional coop for the small chickens. I just love them. They are so colorful and lay the cutest small eggs you have ever seen.

You will notice pictures of my Pekin ducks with one Indian runner in the mix. I really have taken a liken to duck eggs. I like to make desserts with them and they make the best omelets.

There is one lone pictures of our turkeys. Turkeys are new to the farm and these are only weeks old. Ziva loves the sounds the turkeys make.

This picture was taken on December 22, 2014 but this was the site upon waking up also on December 23 & 24. I believe the chicken was waiting for feeding time on the front porch.  She was right in front of the front door so when you open the door this was the first thing you saw. :)

Christmas here in Kentucky this year was a bit gloomy – we did not have snow but plenty of clouds. Here is the picture of the good ol’ Christmas tree. If you notice right next to the door there is a basket full of lovely eggs, gifts from our chickens here at the Farm. :) :)

one more picture of the star on top. We absolutely love this tree topper. I had to search and search for a replacement when ours ‘just stopped working’ two years ago. Its always important to have something special on the tree — something to look forward to. ( big smile )
